Ted Coombs is a computer scientist with 26 years of experience in: software development, internetworking, information security, electronic commerce, forensic software analysis, Internet and Internet applications and telecommunications. He is widely published in his field and has testified in many Federal and State cases, both criminal and civil matters.

Provide expert software, hardware and data analysis of computer systems and electronic platforms to provide expert testimony. I also provide expert technology consulting in litigation matters. I have provided both criminal and civil expert consulting using the latest forensic tools and knowledge of intellectual property.

 

As part of Forensics.org I am part of a team that acts as a data security coordinator as provided by an IETF draft 2-2002. In this position I evaluate computer vulnerabilities submitted to Forensics.org for coordination with vendors and security reporting agencies. We research the vulnerability and coordinate security reporting, instruct vendors on the nature of the vulnerability and coordinate vulnerability resolution.

            Computer Consultant

            Wrote dBASE for Windows sample programs for dBASE development team.

 

Pacific Knowledge 1990-1993

President and Computer Scientist

Developed network management software for the wireless telecommunications industry. Project leader over the design of the South Korean cellular telephone network for Pacific Telesys, now Verizon Wireless.  Began research into emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality. Engineered solutions for pretroleum-based sea water contamination.

 

Independent Consultant 1985-1990

Provided contract programming services to PG&E in their corporate offices in San Francisco. In this capacity I designed and developed software systems that managed contracts and power trading applications, including wheeling and billing.

 

Provided contract programming to University Hospitals of Cleveland and Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

 

Engineered laser and robotic systems wrote medical software, developed artificial intelligence programs, and performed research in forensic anthropology.
